As has become tradition, Sun Records great and rock and roll icon Jerry Lee Lewis will once again be taking the stage of the Beale Street Music Festival this weekend. Anyone who has caught the last two festival appearances from Lewis knows that, even at the age of 73, the Killer is as cantankerous as ever and capable of delivering his signature song stylings with youthful fervor.
Back in the fall of 2007, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland honored Lewis as part of their annual “American Masters” program - a week long tribute, capped by a educational symposium and all-star concert. Lewis become the first living person to recieve the honor.
