No team track titles for Memphis

Overton and Memphis University School each finished an area-best fourth in their respective state meets.

Overton finished with 35 points in Class AAA, 27 of them coming from senior Roland Brooks, who won both the 200 and 400. Brentwood won the Class AAA team title with 94 points. Houston was fifth with 32, followed by Wooddale in sixth with 26.

In D2, MUS finished with 88 points. Track and field powerhouse Brentwood Academy won the D2 team title with 117 points. Chattanooga Baylor was second. CBHS finished sixth with 72 points.

In A-AA, Sheffield finished an area-best sixth with 35 points. Mitchell was seventh with 34. David Lipscomb won the Class A-AA team title with 93.5 points.

Talk to you all again tomorrow from Houston soccer. The Mustangs will take on Brentwood for the Class AAA state title Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
