Houston falls in sudden-death overtime to undefeated Brentwood

After 102 minutes of scoreless soccer, Brentwood senior midfielder Jordan Homonnay tappedĀ in the game winner past a diving Houston goalkeeper Will Powell to earn Brentwood a hard-earned 1-0 Class AAA state-title match victory in sudden-death overtime.

The Bruins, ranked No. 1 nationally, finished the year at 24-0. Houston, which dropped its only other game in its season-opener against Christian Brothers, finished the year at 19-2-1.

The Mustangs were seeking a record-tying sixth boys soccer state title.
