Lil: If you want to survive this round, you might consider singing something no one expects you to sing. Don't go the easy route, and pick something from 'Dreamgirls', 'The Bodyguard' or 'Waiting to Exhale'. The judges will call it 'predictable', and you'll go home in a hurry.

For this week, you must pick something NO ONE sees coming. Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Beyonce, forget it! They see it coming, and anything from those obvious soundtracks will be the end for you.

If I were you, I'd try something that no one sees coming. My top choice is Faith Hill's "There You'll Be" (from the 2001 movie 'Pearl Harbor'). Add a little finesse, add more power to the song, and you'll be able to make it entirely your own. Tell Rickey Minor to add a little more R&B quiet-storm flavor to the tune.

And by all means, do try to twist the song, instead of singing it almost exactly the way it was originally sung. That's what the judges have been hammering you for.
